The OnkoKIDS app of the University Childrens Hospital Zurich supports children and young people with oncological diseases and their families. It provides important information on the diagnosis and therapy of childhood cancer, on supportive measures as well as on contact persons and further offers of help. The content is primarily intended for patients at the Zurich Childrens Hospital.The app offers the following functions:• Presentation of the pediatric oncology treatment team• Important contacts for emergency situations, nursing advice, onco disposition, pharmacy and secretariat• General information about oncological therapy for reference• Measures in emergency situations• Answers to frequently asked questions (FAQ)• Information on supporting partner organizations***** For children *****• Recommendations for age-appropriate books on the subject of "hospital" and "disease"• Free book to read aloud***** For teenagers *****• Information on oncological therapy for young people***** Future Features *****The Zurich Childrens Hospital would like to further develop the app and adapt it to the needs of patients and their families. We are happy to receive your feedback and ideas. A protected area with access to medical records, information on medication and hospital appointments is also planned.The use of the app is voluntary and free of charge. If you do not use the app, you will still receive all information during oncological therapy at the University Childrens Hospital Zurich in analogue form. This will not result in any disadvantages for you in the therapy of your child.
